I review the Vevor vacuum leak tester with smoke machine mode while checking my 2006 S4 that recently had an engine out service that may have introduced air leaks into the intake or exhaust systems. When connected to the air intake on your engine, a leak detector's smoke can find leaks in the throttle body, PCV valve, intake manifold, vacuum lines, parts of the EVAP system, SAI hoses and even the rear main seal once the entire block is filled with smoke and pressure. It's also effective at finding exhaust leaks by pumping smoke into the tip of the exhaust pipes.
