Welcome back to my channel. In this video, we are creating women's long circular skirt with a comfortable elastic waistband. I'll guide you through the entire pattern making process, providing methods for both MANUAL DRAFTING and using CAD software (Pattern DGS). You'll learn the perfect technique to get that gorgeous, full circular flare!
We'll be making the main skirt, a waistband, an inner lining, and a pocket pattern. Everything you need for a complete proects
📏 MEASUREMENTS USED IN THIS TUTORIAL:
· Total Length (with waistband): 39 inch
· Waist (Stretched - all round): 40 inch (Front + Back)
· Waist (Relaxed - after elastic): 28 inch
· 1/2 Bottom Width: 70 inch
· Waistband Height: 1.5 inch
🛠 TOOLS & SOFTWARE USED:
· Pattern DGS Software (CAD Method)
· For Manual Drafting: Paper, Pencil, Ruler, Curve Scale, Scissors.
📌 IMPORTANT NOTES:
· The main skirt pattern is cut TWICE (for front and back).
· The waistband is designed to be folded over the elastic.
· The inner lining is shorter than the main skirt by about 3 inches.
· All patterns include seam allowance (margin).
