Making a Glass Fronted Miniature Cabinet - Space Saving Narrow Display unit

The boy has got into miniatures - and I may have slipped back into the hobby with him. So we've got lots of painted minis that we'd like to display, or at least have somewhere to store them (especially since we got a 3D printer). So all my old warhammer, blood bowl, necromunda and warhammer 40k models have come out, along with some new ones.
So we decided that the little downstairs loo would be perfect for them. A glass fronted cabinet that was really shallow (70mm over all depth) that wouldn't take up too much room in this narrow little toilet. The glass doors would help stop the dust on the minis and as it's north facing they won't get bleached from the sun.
Trouble is, now I've built it I need to build another one for the other side as well as maybe one above the door for vehicles!
