I remember feeling lazy, unmotivated, and stupid. I’d write notes and forget them. I’d forget everything, yet carry so much guilt. I didn’t know what was wrong, because up until then, nothing had ever been “wrong” with me.

Then at 20, I was diagnosed with ADHD. My hearing attention span matched that of a 12-year-old, and my visual attention span a 10-year-old. Suddenly, my whole life made sense.
