In a small village on Lesvos, a single basement preserves a century of memories.
Overflowing with memories and under the devoted care of Honorary Curator Adonis Chiotis, the Cultural Association of Sigri has opened the Sigri Folklore Centre.
The fascinating mixture of everyday items recalls life in Sigri over the recent past - from the stark trauma of the population exchange of 1923 right up to the first domestic electric luxury goods.
This is not a museum about artefacts, It’s a museum about belonging — about how a village keeps its heartbeat through the things it remembers.
The Centre is open daily except Mondays.
