Sketching at the base of the Silver Queen gondola as well as from the top of the Sundeck Restaurant on the same day. Lots of people were skiing at Aspen on January 5, 2023, but I bucked the trend by bringing an easel and drawing materials to the scene, where I indulged in my love of sketching architecture in a natural setting, setting up right where the Silver Queen gondola whisks people up the mountain. After I finished this drawing, I got in the gondola and went to the top, where I did another one. Two-drawing days deserve to be undertaken in places like this! I recorded the music accompanying this video back in 2002, with drumming expertise from Evan Miles.
