We Deserve Better Than Assassin's Creed Unity

Assassin's Creed Unity was Ubisoft's greatest embarrassment in 2014, but as of 2023 there is a sizable portion of the fanbase that sees it as the pinnacle of what Assassin's Creed should be. While the game's artistic vision is closer to the franchise's original promise than the games we get today, I believe the corporate greed, cut corners, and half baked mechanics that define this game make it a poor candidate for the gold standard of this series. In my opinion, we deserve better.
