Brother accused—Wimsey untangles lies, footprints, scandal, and aristocratic murder mystery.
Lord Peter Wimsey’s brother, the Duke of Denver, is accused of murdering Captain Denis Cathcart, fiancé to their sister Lady Mary. The body is found outside the family’s Yorkshire lodge, and circumstantial evidence points to Denver. As Wimsey investigates, he uncovers a tangle of secrets: a lost letter, mysterious footprints, and a hidden affair. With help from Inspector Parker, Wimsey must navigate family loyalty, social scandal, and legal peril to clear his brother’s name.
This BBC adaptation delivers classic British mystery, sharp deduction, and aristocratic intrigue, all wrapped in Sayers’ signature wit.
