Chasing Scotlands Wild West Coast Beauty- Clachtoll to Torridon

Join us as we chase the raw, untamed beauty of Scotland’s west coast in our camper van- traveling from the white sands of Clachtoll to the dramatic mountain landscapes of Torridon. With storm Bram bering down on us, we head south stopping off at the Nevis Range mountain resort before we make our final escape.

This stretch of coastline is pure magic: rugged cliffs, turquoise waters, winding single-track roads, and some of the most breathtaking camping spots in the UK. From peaceful beach mornings to moody Highland weather, this journey captures the freedom of slow travel and life on the road.

We are Richard and Jackie and we live in the UK. We retired from teaching at the age of 51 in the summer of 2022. Our plans for early requirement include relocating to the Yorkshire Dales, developing our forever home and travelling the UK, Europe and eventually the world in our VW campervan Nelson.
