Welcome to the complete story of Final Fantasy VII, the game that effectively put Final Fantasy on the map and continues to be one of the most celebrated and recognizable entries in the series more than two decades after the game's release.
The game has since spawned a collection of supplementary materials, such as a host of other games, and a feature film computer generated action extravaganza, not to mention an ongoing Remake series that hopes to reimagine the legacy of the game for a new age.
The story of the game tells an intricate tale of the relationship between humanity and nature, a struggle with self-identity and also, there’s snowboarding - making for one hell of an adventure.
But anyway, I’m Pétur from Birds of Play, and in this video I hope you’ll join me as we revisit the game that not only introduced me to the Final Fantasy series but also introduced the world at large to the power of video game narratives.
