Surfing a Wooden Surfboard is Exhausting!

I knew this board was heavy and wouldn't be as buoyant as a typical surfboard, but I wasn't prepared for how difficult it would be to paddle. It was exhausting! It was heavy and barely buoyant which made it feel like more of a weight than paddle assistance.
Once I got it planing, it surfed pretty well. I got a few turns in and called it a win. Due to the weight I'm calling this one a wall hanger, but I'm excited to explore wood more and see how light wooden construction can get.
