Meet our Doc: Timothy Irwin, MD, Pediatric Hand Surgeon

Pediatric hand surgeon Timothy Irwin, MD, recognizes that our hands play a vital role in our lives from the moment we are born. That’s why he dedicates his days to helping young patients regain function and movement in this remarkable limb. “The hand is integrated into everything we do,” he says. “Our day-to-day tasks, our hobbies, taking care of ourselves and taking care of others.”

Dr. Irwin also has a deeply personal reason for practicing pediatric hand care every day. “My brother was born with special needs, and I was able to see what great care he had,” Dr. Irwin says. “It really motivates me to provide the same level of care that I would want to be provided to a family member like my brother. That's something that I think about when I'm caring for patients and their families.”
