Shavuot 2023, Jerusalem Gets Ready for Shavuot!

As we take a walk down one of the main streets in Jerusalem, you can see many Jews hurrying to get home to celebrate the Feast of Shavuot or the Feast of Weeks.

During this holiday, it is a time to celebrate the first fruits of the harvest. It is tradition to stay up through the night reading the Book of Ruth. Shavuot is also a holiday commemorating when God gave Moses the 10 commandments.

I hope you enjoy seeing the people, the Great synagogue, and the peaceful evening as the city shuts down to celebrate this special holiday here in Jerusalem.
