To celebrate ‘Inclusion Week’ at St Andrews Bangkok, our school community joined together to learn a new language and showcase their non-verbal communication skills.
As an inclusive school our aim is to provide an inclusive education. For individuals with a hearing impairment or those who struggle to process verbal information, sign language helps facilitate better communication and ensure all students have access to the same educational opportunities. As well as reducing misunderstandings, it helps promote more effective learning and, most importantly, empowers students to find a better means to express themselves.
This Makaton sign language video is just one of the many ways our wonderful students look to support one another each day and raise our cultural awareness, promoting a greater appreciation for the unique experiences of individuals with additional learning needs.
