i use the huma air 8.5.
the pin probe is good for those who shoot longer slugs reason being
you can adjust the pin back and by doing so it's not being pushed too far into the breech
or landings like the pellet probe will and that's where, in consistency comes from.
having the pellet or slug in the wrong place.
for shorter slugs' max length i have found is 49.85 overall length for the probe before the magazine starts acting up what happens is the pin is to long pushes the ammo out of the mag before the probe body enters the mag and jams right where the pin meets the probe body
and that is why stationary probes don't work for some pellets and slugs has to be the proper length.
I eliminated shooting the shorter slugs 7.5mm long and under, I don't shoot anymore
the longer slugs that are now made with the same weight chamber and fly so much better and shows on paper, it's all the little fine tuning is what makes it consistent tolerances and clearances
also, for 25 Cal guys i have a new breech Oring 6.1mm id 9mm od 1.4 C/S mine kept leaking
as i put an Oring on my pin probe and when it would leak it will push the Oring all the way to the back of the probe, now its sealed and gained between 10-12 fps its all the little things like that count.
