Flute Salad - Synthwave Remix (Runescape)

There was a synthwave themed audio visualizer I made in Shadertoy about... 9 months ago now? I forgot about it until recently, and when I checked I found out that an API change caused the custom audio to stop working. Devastated, I may have spent the better part of two days translating the project from WebGL to HLSL in the form of Unity compute shaders, subsequently went mad with power and added four additional shaders, text, and a chicken, and then managed to pull a video file out of it without the unity editor bursting into flames. Which is a first on all of those fronts.

The font used is Stormfaze, from 1001 Fonts. (technically I don't need to give credit because it's public domain but it looks cool so imma give credit anyway) The text gradient and other color effects were added by me. The chicken is of course from Old School Runescape. I also wanted to give a shoutout to Simon Rodriguez for his FXAA implementation tutorial, cause I totally copied most of it

This is a reupload of the song from last video because that one got beans for views, probably due to not having any interesting visual features at all, and also cause I did kinda make the whole new audio visualizer for this song specifically

You might be wondering, where have I been? What have I been doing? Me too. College is like that. Anyway, a few days ago I made a bit of a mistake, and by that I mean a new year's resolution, so from now on there will potentially be a new video every month or so. Jokes aside though, I'm looking forward to having more inspiration and more things to work on! If I can gather enough interesting things to talk about with the visualizer I might make a video or post about it soon
