Routing through the Fridge Vent! -- Running solar & antenna wires through the RV refrigerator vent!

Getting wires from the roof into your RV can be a pain... and routing your cabling through the refrigerator fridge vent is a popular way to avoid making holes (leaks!) in your roof. (FYI This video is part of a multipart series on installing a cellphone booster on my trailer...)

In this video, I go into (excruciating) detail on how to route cables through the vent. That includes cleaning the roof, drilling in the vent, using a cable gland, and strain relief. I did this work as part of a installation of a WeBoost Drive X RV cell phone booster, but the same process is used if you're routing any sort of cable, including solar wiring or other antenna wiring.

GREAT TIP FROM A VIEWER: "The only piece of advice that comes from my Ham Radio experience is to put some connector sealant tape on the connection from your antenna to the wire going inside. Otherwise water will get into this connection and corrode it causing loss of signal. It can also get into the wire and cause you to have to replace your wire entirely."
