Jon Boden's post-apocalyptic folk concept album Songs from the Floodplain has become extraordinarily relevant this year and in a few ways gone from fiction to reality. I've always wanted to cover this song but it's originally played on concertina and I could never achieve a nice enough soft concertina-like tone with my old accordion, but my new one is capable of a far greater range of sounds and subtlety of dynamics, so now I can finally do it justice!
