Hike to Teanaway Butte, Cle Elum, Washington | Teanaway Community Forest | 9.4 miles

The trailhead for this hike is at the Indian Camp Campground in the Teanaway Community Forest by Cle Elum. I really enjoyed seeing the forest and landscape here, though it was pretty windy at times during the hike.

This area had a major wildfire in 2017, named the Jolly Mountain Fire. It was started by lightning in August and was not fully extinguished until November. It burned about 21,000 acres. It’s great to see that the area is recovering.
