This song was inspired by a novel Kep and I have been writing for several years now. It's titled "Sanctuary", and it's a fantasy fiction novel focused on 6 friends and their hardships. I can't say too much without spoiling it for you all, but Sanctuary's inciting premise is the poisoning of the king, one of the main 6. So, I wanted to write something akin to a funeral march or a hymn to fit the somber mood.
I think I did fairly well. :)
Maybe I'll write character songs next.
