"lɔɔng" (ลอง) means "try on"
1st Example : "pǒm kɔ̌ɔ lɔɔng kěm-kàt nɔ̀i dâai-mái kráp" (ผมขอลองเข็มขัดหน่อยๆด้ไหมครับ) means "May I try this belt on?"
"pǒm kɔ̌ɔ (ผมขอ) means "May I........?" for male speaker "lɔɔng" (ลอง) means "try on" "kěm-kàt" (เข็มขัด) means "belt" "nɔ̀i" (หน่อย) means "a little bit (nít-nɔ̀i) (direct meaning), and we also put this word as a particle when we request fir some help.
"dâai-mái" (ได้ไหม) means "can?"
"kráp" (ครับ) is an ending particle for male speaker to make it polite.
2nd Example : "pǒm jà pa-yaa-yaam maa hâi dtrong-wee-laa" (ผมจะพยายามมาให้ตรงเวลา) means "I will try to be on time."
"jà" (จะ) means "will"
"pa-yaa-yaam" (พยายาม) means "try to"
"maa" (มา) means "to cone" "hâi" (ให้) means "to give" (direct meaning), while we use this word to express the result of doing something.
"dtrong-wee-laa" (ตรงเวลา) means "to be on time"
