This video documents Mountain Bike exploring the abandoned New York Central / Beech Creek Railroad Bed from Orviston to the Hogback Tunnel, and a portion of the Bloody Skillet ATV Connector Trail. At the end, I take a tour around Orviston, PA and the Orviston Brick Works / Yard.
I frequented this area on dirt bike as a teen in the 1970's. After recently seeing a video from another YouTube creator, Quiet John, Out and About, I thought I would re-explore the area on my mountain bike. Pennsylvania DCNR installed a new bridge over Beech Creek on this rail bed for the Bloody Skillet ATV Connector Trail. This was handy as I had to ford the creek with the dirt bike in the 70's, because several bridges were missing at that time.
In this video, I tossed in several tunes that pop into my head as i ride.
