VARIETY GALORE! Trains at Glasgow Central, WCML (28/5/25)

During my trip to Scotland in May 2025, as a train enthusiast, you just know I had to go trainspotting at Scotland's buisest railway station - Glasgow Central Station.

The station is the northen termius of the West Coast Main Line, situated 401 miles from London Euston. The station also serves many lines to other parts of Scotland, to places like Edinburgh, Gourock, Adrossan, Wemyss, Ayr, Kilmarnock, Newton, Neilston, Rutherglen, The Cathcart Circle lines, East Kilbride, Barrhead and more. The majority of the services are provied by ScotRail. Avanti West Coast and Transpennine Express alsp serve the station very regulary on their services on the West Coast Main Line: Caldeonian Sleeper and CrossCountry also serve the station, but their trains are only present late at night and very early in the morning, so unfortuately they aren't in this video. LNER also no longer serve Glasgow Central.

ScotRail use a big variation of Rolling Stock used for services in and out of Glasgow Central like: The Class 320, 318, 380, 385, 156, which all work surburban services, although some trains work longer services to Carlisle, Dumfried and Edinburgh. Longer, Intercity trains to other cities in Scotland apart from Edinburgh opearte out of nearby Glasgow Queen Street Station.

Glasgow Central is a MUST visit for any trainspotter. There is so much variety of trains, and trains depart or arrive roughly every 30 seconds - 1 minitue.
