In this video, I share my first impressions of the GSI Creos PS270 airbrush and how it performs for fine detail work, trigger control, and spraying on plastic. Coming from budget detail airbrushes like the Master G266 and using an Iwata HP-CS for base coats, I break down how the PS270 compares in feel, price, and performance.
The trigger feel is excellent, and the built-in MAC valve makes it easy to control air pressure and reduce spider webbing—especially when spraying thin paints and inks. That said, spraying on plastic instead of paper or canvas does come with a learning curve, including paint pooling and needing multiple passes for stencil work.
This is an honest, real-world review from a custom tackle and lure painter’s perspective. I’ll be posting follow-up videos soon with actual spray footage once I get more time behind the brush.
