Greater Anglia Trains at Hatfield Peverel on August 6th 2022

2nd visit to Hatfield Peverel Station on the Great Eastern Main Line which is my 1st for over 4 years since July 7th 2018 featuring services from Greater Anglia

Note: On the morning of filming Greater Anglia services were still suffering minor disruption due to Urgent Overhead Structure Repairs having to be carried out in the Manningtree Area which meant some services North of Colchester to Ipswich and Norwich were Cancelled however the line was reopened after 9:25am which was 15 minutes before filming.

The original station of Hatfield Peverel first opened in 1844 however was burnt down by fire 5 years later in 1849

The present station dates from being re-sited in 1878 which today serves the villages of Hatfield Peverel and Nounsley.

It's served mostly by hourly services to and from Ipswich although on weekday peak hours a few trains a day to and from Colchester Town call here.
