North Sydney Bears vs Parramatta Eels 22 Aug 1982. The game that broke the ground record at North Sydney Oval. For the first time since the '40's the Bears were in with a show for the Semis. The Eels had their legendary Gibson coached team. The crowd was so big they let the kids sit on the field (I was one) near the sideline. Wouldn't be allowed to happen today.
