A long time ago, I saw an amazing Madoka AMV to this song and fell in love with it. I can't find it anywhere these days, but I don't think I could capture that same magic making my own Madoka AMV with it. I still wanted to edit with "Escapist" and thought Princess Tutu (RUE) would be a perfect fit.
I was originally working on something else for Detour, but that project ended up being too big for the timeline. Having to switch gears, I thought this would be the chance to make this AMV I've had in mind for years. It was a fight against time and tendinitis.
I'm not done working on this project, but I was still excited to see it play at the con. I was lucky enough to receive a Judges' Choice Award for it, so I'd like to upload it as is.
