Leslie Howard will continue her "Once Known" series with a presentation, “Lost from the Ledger”, focusing on Westford's Indigenous history, which is often overlooked. In this program, she will share powerful stories of the Massachusett and Pennacook peoples, their experiences as Praying Indians, the significant impacts of King Philip's War, and the journey that led to their diminished visibility in Westford's history.
Howard has a strong background in Museum work. Since 2006, she has been involved with several institutions, including the Nichols House Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and the Museum of Science. Additionally, she has been a member of the Westford Historical Society's board since 2014 and served as its President from 2020 to 2025.
