THE FORGE - THE BEGINNING | DODGE RAM POWERED 4x4 FORD F1 | WET COAST FAB

The very beginning of The Forge Project!

I plan on taking an old 1950 Ford F1 and combining it with parts from a 1998 Dodge 2500 4x4 to make a capable off-roading/over-landing/towing vehicle for Wet Coast Fab use!

This is a long-term project that will span at least the spring of 2023 but more likely through the summer and into the Fall as well.

Join on the start of this journey where I have to pick up two pick up trucks, one from Port Alberni, one from Vancouver and get them safely back home. I also have to deal with how to inflate a tire that has popped off the bead, unloading a truck that weighs almost as much as my tow vehicle and trailer combined, and navigate the treacherous waters of the Salish Sea on BC Ferries, all in the rain! If you like road montages, I've got you covered, if you like the occasional Dad joke, I've got you there too!

Neither trucks are running so my first task is to address the problems with each to make sure they're mechanically sound, fixing any problems that might arise.

The Ford F1 also needs to pass a Provincial inspection, so my initial focus will be getting the F1 running, fix any safety issues and taking it through inspection, then the cutting begins!
