Elden Ring – Boss Interlude #3 (Pt. 1): Dragons, Deathbirds & That Lobster Was WHAT!?

What is happening everyone? Welcome on back to our Elden Ring 100% Checklist Chill-through!

This one started a little scuffed — my capture card glitched and I lost some footage, so this is take two. We did a bit of off-camera farming, but I walk through our updated stats (level 77, 30 Vigor, 30 Intelligence, 20 Mind, 20 Endurance) before diving straight into a Liurnia boss rush.

Today’s Boss Interlude #3 is all about clearing out Liurnia: Evergaols, catacombs, field bosses, and a “totally normal” lobster that turns into a Grafted Scion.

Here’s who we took down this episode:

🛡️ Cleanrot Knight – Stillwater Cave

3,300 runes • Winged Sword Insignia • Cleanrot Knight’s Sword
Opened the day with a face full of poison and a very short fight.

🔥 Adan, Thief of Fire – Malefactor’s Evergaol

3,800 runes • Flame of the Fell God (Legendary)
Stormblade struggled against his dodge spam, so we swapped to Night Shard and bullied him out of his own spell.

🐶 Erdtree Burial Watchdog – Cliffbottom Catacombs

3,200 runes • Kaiden Sellsword Ashes
The run-up was a disaster (ambushes, panic rolls, everything hitting me at once) but poise damage and crits got us there in the end.

🧙 Preceptor Miriam – Carian Study Hall

5,000 runes • Magic Downpour
Tried Night Maiden’s Mist and discovered it hurts everyone, including me… but it absolutely melted Miriam. Easiest fight I’ve ever had with her.

🌑 Night’s Cavalry – Gate Town Bridge

5,600 runes • Ash of War: Ice Spear
Opened with Loretta’s Greatbow, then swapped to Ice Spear on a Banished Knight’s Halberd and erased him from existence.

🦅 Deathbird – Scenic Isle

Red-Feathered Branchsword
Tried a bunch of spells, discovered what doesn’t have range, then settled on good old-fashioned swipes and finished the job.

🦞 Grafted Scion – Fallen Ruins of the Lake (Disguised as a Lobster)

1,283 runes • Larval Tear
“Why is this lobster so tanky?” → surprise Grafted Scion. Honestly, I was not emotionally prepared.

🐉 Glintstone Dragon Smarag – Temple Quarter

14,000 runes • Dragon Heart
Quick detour to pick up Golden Vow, then Rock Sling + crit chains made this fight way cleaner than expected.

💎 Crystalian (Spear) & Crystalian (Staff) – Academy Crystal Cave

3,300 runes • Crystal Release
Used Ash of War spam to break their poise, grabbed Terra Magica from the chest behind them, and added another toy to the spell list.

🦴 Death Rite Bird – Gate Town North

7,800 runes • Ancient Death Rancor
First attempt: deleted. Second attempt: Sacred Blade on Rogier’s Rapier, much better positioning, and a very satisfying kill.
