SANLIBONG BUHAY - LORENZO: A RELIGIOUS JUKEBOX MUSICAL (2025)

After enduring brutal tortures, Lorenzo Ruiz refused to renounce his faith, boldly declaring, “If I had a thousand lives, I would offer them all to Him.”

He was executed through "tsurushi" - hunged upside down over a pit until death on September 27, 1637 aged 42 and died two days later... sealing his witness as the first Filipino saint and martyr.

The three priests who suffered with him were later beheaded, sharing in his triumph of faith.

In this powerful scene, Lorenzo sings “Sanlibong Buhay” by Jandi Arboleda and Fr. Manoling Francisco, SJ, a moving piece inspired by his final words.
