In this episode of Project Ghost, we go in for test fit #2 of the Lexus 1UR-FE V8 into the FRS chassis. We had to backtrack a bit—pulling the engine out again—but made serious progress. First, we drilled out the spot welds and removed the transmission mount brackets to gain much-needed clearance. Then we took out the steering rack and cut the lower radiator support to get the engine sitting just right. Now... the hood almost closes. Next week, we’ll do one last engine removal to finish clearing the old bracket and start locking in final placement for mounts, steering, and more.
