Walking tour. ° LA ISLA DE LINDAU es una pequeña isla con un casco histórico, calles pintorescas, encanto mediterráneo, incrustada en el Lago de Constanza y con los Alpes suizos al fondo. Lindau forma parte de Baviera/Bavaria.

Uno de los lugares más famosos de Lindau es la entrada al puerto. Es el símbolo de la ciudad y se caracteriza por dos construcciones notables: La estatua del León de Bavaria de 6 metros de altura y el faro de piedra de Lindau de 36 metros de altura.

Algo escondida en el laberinto de calles de la isla de Lindau se encuentra otra atracción: la “Diebsturm”: la “Torre de los Ladrones”, construida en 1.380, cuyas coloridas tejas y divertidas torres en las esquinas la hacen visible desde lejos. La “Torre de los Ladrones“ sirvió durante mucho tiempo como torre de vigilancia. Posteriormente fue declarada prisión, de ahí su nombre actual.

La Torre "Mangturm" se encuentra directamente en el paseo del puerto de Lindau. Esta construccion cuadrada de piedra del siglo XII tiene 20 metros de altura y originalmente formaba parte de las fortificaciones medievales de la ciudad. Hoy en día, 91 escalones conducen al tejado, donde en verano tienen lugar cuentos para adultos.

Einer der bekanntesten Orte in Lindau ist die Lindauer Hafeneinfahrt. Sie ist das Wahrzeichen der Stadt und zeichnet sich durch zwei bemerkenswerte Bauwerke aus: Die 6 Meter hohe Statue des Bayerischen Löwen und den 36 Meter hohen Lindauer Steinleuchtturm.

Etwas versteckt im Straßengewirr der Insel Lindau befindet sich eine weitere Sehenswürdigkeit: der 1380 errichtete Diebsturm, dessen farbenfrohe Ziegel und die verspielten Ecktürmchen ihn weithin sichtbar machen. Der Diebsturm wurde lange Zeit als Wachturm genutzt. Später deklarierte man ihn zum Gefängnis um – dies erklärt seinen heutigen Namen.

Der “Mangturm” befindet sich direkt an der Seepromenade von Lindau. Der quadratische Steinbau aus dem 12, Jahrhundert ist 20 Meter hoch und war ursprünglich Teil der mittelalterlichen Stadtbefestigung. Heute führen 91 Stufen unters Dach, wo im Sommer Märchenstunden für Erwachsene stattfinden.

Somewhat hidden in the labyrinth of streets on the island of Lindau is another attraction: the “Diebsturm”: the “Thieves Tower”, built in 1380, whose colorful tiles and fun corner towers make it visible from afar.
The Thieves Tower served for a long time as a watchtower. It was later declared a prison, this explains its current name.

The “Mangturm” Tower is located directly on the Lindau harbor promenade. This square stone building from the 12th century is 20 meters high and was originally part of the city's medieval fortifications. Today, 91 steps lead to the roof, where adult storytime takes place in the summer.
