Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, popularly known as Dr. D.K. Olukoya, is the Founder and General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), one of the world’s leading deliverance and prayer ministries. He was born on July 15, 1957, in Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria, to a devout Christian family. His father was a police officer and a pastor in the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), which greatly influenced his spiritual growth.

A gifted scholar, Olukoya attended the University of Lagos, where he graduated with a First-Class degree in Microbiology, becoming one of the school’s best-ever students. He later obtained his PhD in Molecular Genetics from the University of Reading, United Kingdom, and worked as a researcher and lecturer, contributing to several scientific publications.

In 1989, driven by a divine mandate to teach aggressive prayer and deliverance, he founded MFM in Yaba, Lagos. The ministry quickly grew into a global movement known for its emphasis on holiness, spiritual warfare, and breakthrough prayers. Today, MFM has thousands of branches worldwide.

Dr. Olukoya is also a prolific author, music enthusiast, and the founder of the MFM G.O.’s Choir, one of the world’s largest gospel choirs. He is married to Pastor (Mrs.) Shade Olukoya, and they are blessed with a son.
