A more detailed look at the Ruger American Ranch bolt-action 7.62x39 rifle, with 16" barrel and picatinny rail. As mentioned in the first video, this rifle will accept Ruger Mini-30 magazines, so you can have greater capacity than the simple 5-shot hunter's magazine which comes with the weapon out of the box. I call it the "Poor Man's Scout" because it loosely follows the Scout principle, but with an intermediate cartridge and budget components, such as the scope and the magazines. I've really enjoyed shooting this at the ranges. It's a lot of fun, and makes for a great multi-purpose rifle which won't bust your piggy bank.
