It is MLK Jr. Day and I thought today's song should be "You First". I wrote this tune about leadership and the price that is paid for standing up for what you believe in while others choose to stay silent. When you put yourself out there as an artist/person/activist, you put yourself out there for someone to disagree with you. Sometimes that leads to an argument and can even lead to death. Too many of our leaders have paid that price like MLK Jr. Thinking of his journey/contributions today. I hope you are, too.
