A magical day from Lugo to Ferreira - 29km of easy walking | Hike the Camino

I was sad leaving Lugo on this 29km hike from Lugo to Ferreira today, not spending enough time in the historical city was disappointing, if you can stay over and rest here it is highly recommended. The weather changed!!!!! I was so grateful to set of on this cold but beautiful sunny day from Lugo, even though most of the route would be walking next to roads, I did not mind as I could stretch my legs and hike in a T Shirt.

Leaving Lugo with 100km to go and arriving in Ferreira with just over 70km to Santiago was good feeling. The mountains and climbing were a thing of the past and it was straight sailing into Santiago from here. You could feel the vibe change from the other pilgrims, they were smiling for the first time in a while. There is not much in Ferreira, but the Albergue just after the town caters for all your needs.
