Following the loss of Elena’s mother, she was prescribed activity through her GP. She started cycling round the track before heading out to the shops and on social rides. Social prescribing has transformed Elena’s life – her mental health has improved, she’s made friends, and found a new passion for cycling.
We’re supporting social prescribing schemes across England, to give doctors additional ways to support people like Elena and get them feeling themselves again.
