Спускане до Мугла (24 км, –800 м)
Мугла → Гьоврен (43 км, +600 м):
Гьоврен → Орлово Око → Ягодина (57 км):
Ягодина → Триград (65 км, +200 м):
Триград → Мугла (80 км, +400 м, –300 м):
Мугла → Х. Ледницата (86 км, +520 м) (Последно сериозно изкачване преди финала)
Ледницата → Финал Широка Лъка (95 км, –900 м):

Yagodina Cave Ultra 95K | Thracian Ultra – My 95 km in the Rhodopes

The Yagodina Cave Ultra is a spectacular 95 km mountain ultramarathon held in the heart of the Rhodope Mountains, part of the Thracian Ultra series. The race offers a tough but beautiful course, combining elevation gain of a bit below 4,900 m, high ridges, remote villages, dense forests, and even a passage through the legendary Yagodina Cave.

Approximate Elevation gain: 4900 m
Cutoff time: 24 hours
Start in: Shiroka Laka Village

Key Checkpoints & Route Segments:
Shiroka Laka → Perelik Hut (11 km, +1,200 m):
Historic village and race start – known for its authentic Rhodope architecture. The climb begins immediately after the start and continues toward Perelik Hut.

Perelik Hut → Orpheus Peak (~2 km further, +300 m):
Approach Golyam Perelik, the highest peak in the Rhodopes at 2,191 m (From the summit you’re rewarded with sweeping alpine panoramas - if teh weather is good:))

Descent to Mugla (24 km total, –800 m):
A remote mountain village nestled in a valley. Steep technical downhill before entering the checkpoint.

Ascent to Gyovren (43 km, +600 m):
Climb back into forested slopes before dropping into this mountain hamlet. After the first part of climbing, a very long 11-12km segment with "runnable" descent is present

Gyovren → Orlovo Oko viewpoint → Yagodina (57 km):
Detour to Orlovo Oko, a cliff-edge steel platform at ~1,563 m that overlooks Buynovo Gorge and distant peaks. A very steep downhill follows. Then the trail trail goes directly through Yagodina Cave – the longest cave in the Rhodopes (over 10 km explored passages, but we ran about 10 mins there). Exit the cave and follow a tiny path to the centerpiece of the race - in Yagodina Village

Yagodina → Trigrad (65 km, +200 m):
Exit the village/checkpoint and follow forest trails. In general it is shorter climb. Beautiful stretch near the Trigrad Gorge – one of Bulgaria’s natural wonders.

Trigrad → Mugla (80 km, +400 m gain, –300 m descent):
Return through forested ascent back to Mugla area.

Mugla → Lednitsata Hut (86 km, +520 m):
Final steep climb before the home stretch.
A last major climb of 520 m before descending toward the finish.

Lednitsata → Finish Shiroka Laka (95 km, about -780m)
The loop is completed with one final 500 m descent back to the start (and wrapped in the latest few kilometers)
