*ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa says they will work to ensure that the ANC is united to honour the founding fathers of the organisation like the Northern Cape's Sol Plaatje.
*Eskom says there is a possibility of load shedding during the course of the day. The power utility says this is despite the fact that stage two load shedding was implemented last night to ease the burden on today's electricity supply. Load shedding is scheduled to end at 8am this morning.
*US President Donald Trump says Iran "appears to be standing down" after it fired missiles at air bases housing US forces in Iraq. In a televised address Trump said no US or Iraqi lives were lost in the attacks and the bases suffered only minimal damage. The Irbil and Al Asad bases were attacked by Iran in retaliation for last week's assassination of top Iranian General Qasem Soleimani.
