On December 16, the Church takes a decisive step in preparing for Christmas with the start of the Christmas Novena (or Novena to the Infant Jesus). During these nine days leading up to the great feast, the faithful are invited to intensify prayer, hope, and expectant joy. The Novena is a spiritual path that leads us to relive, day by day, the mystery of the Incarnation. It is a favorable time to gather the family, light the Advent candles, and, with a vigilant heart, prepare a worthy place for the One who comes to visit us. "Come, Lord Jesus! Do not delay!".
