Cutting Tall Grass Around My Firewood Pile | Better Drying with Milwaukee M18

Welcome back to The Firewood Hobbyist! In this video, I focus on a key part of storing firewood outdoors: keeping the area underneath and around the pile clean and dry.

The firewood stack sits on pallets at the edge of a field, and tall grass and hay had started creeping in — trapping moisture and reducing airflow. To fix this, I used my Milwaukee M18 FUEL String Trimmer (FOPHLTKIT / 2825-21) to clear the overgrowth and help the wood dry faster.

You’ll see how I cut down thick field grass, explain why it matters for firewood longevity, and show the improved airflow under the stack once the cleanup is done.
