Revealing our Profits from our Kunekune Pork Sales!

Welcome back to the farm. Today we are going to share how much we made from our 3 Kunekune pigs that we had processed for market. This year we just went for it. We took three pigs around 16 months old to get processed so we could sell at our farmers market. In order to sell at the market we had to get them processed at a USDA processing facility and also apply for a meat sales license.
After doing all those things we were able to bring pastured raised pork to market to share with all our customers. After selling out of our retail cuts we went back and checked the numbers and we were a little surprised with our findings. We will talk about the numbers and discuss our future plans with the pork side of our operation and also our overall plans with Kunekune pigs on our farm!
