As we’ve studied Matthew through Year of the Word, we see that God’s promises from the Old Testament are fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Davis Powell, CEO of Seed Company, joined us to remind us that the genealogy in Scripture is more than a list of names. It declares that God has kept his word. From Abraham to David to Mary, every covenant and prophecy points to Christ, the Savior for all nations. Because God’s promises have been kept, we are called to respond in faith, trust his Word, and live as people who know Scripture is for all people in every generation.

We also heard from a woman from the Middle East who has faithfully translated Scripture for her community in one of the most persecuted places in the world. Sitting behind a screen to protect her identity, her presence reminded us of the many believers around the globe who risk everything to bring God’s Word to their people.
