It will run for short periods of time, but consistently gets hung up, especially when moving from forward into reverse.
It seems like the thread is having trouble moving over the front of the bobbin. I can manually jiggle the handle, and eventually get the thread to release and roll over the bobbin.
In this video, I have a Jean needle and cotton gene thread in a loose canvas material. But I had the same problems with a more typical, fine thread on regular cotton (like the test piece sent with the machine).  this set up also will sew with the same consistency whether it’s one layer of canvas or two.
I verified in the user manual and with videos online that I’m threading everything correctly. I’ve tried multiple tension, settings, and stitch width settings. Can’t seem to figure this one out.
Is there a timing issue in the bobbin area?
