Hebrews 11:32–35 KJV
"And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection."
The heroes of faith and the prophets were not perfect men: they faced fear, weakness, and human limitation. Yet the Word tells us that out of weakness they were made strong.
This is the principle of God’s Kingdom: strength is released in weakness. Just as resurrection begins with a seed and the soil in which it is planted, God works in our weakness to bring forth life, power, and fruit.
1 Corinthians 15:35-36 But some [man] will say, HOW are the dead raised up? and with WHAT body do they come? [Thou] fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die
Just as every seed must go through a death process before it can produce a harvest, we too often pass through seasons of weakness and trials to receive strength. What God does is impregnate His people with the Word, and it is our responsibility to release it and push it into manifestation.
Even when the seed—the promise of God—seems tender or weak, God makes it strong to push through dry ground. For this reason, as a believer, you should never allow tough times to kill the prophetic Word in your life, because God gives believers the ability to break through weakness and limitations.
1 Corinthians 15:42-43 So also [is] the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
This means that even when we are weak or dishonoured, God brings honour, strength, and power when His Word is sown in us. Coming to the altar, which represents surrender and death to self, allows the quickening Spirit to work in us, causing us to grow and bear fruit.
1 Corinthians 15:44-45 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam [was made] a quickening spirit.
The first Adam was helpless, but the quickening Spirit made him strong. The last Adam, Jesus, was born naturally but through the Spirit brought life and power. In the same way, when we are quickened, we become spiritual men and women in natural bodies, bearing supernatural fruit.
Even when we cannot see or understand the 'how,' like Nicodemus in John 3, God is at work. He connects His people to heaven, quickens the seed, and releases the life of the last Adam into us so that His heartbeat can flow through us.
This was the experience of Samson in Judges 16:25–30. Though weak in the prison house, his final act—bowing down in surrender—released greater victory than all his previous strength. God brings strength out of weakness and light out of backwardness.
True power lies with those who are dead to fear, ambition, and self, and alive to God.
Prayer: Lord, I bring You my weakness, fears, and limitations. Strengthen me with Your Spirit. Turn my weakness into power, my trials into testimony, and my failures into fruit. Help me to trust You completely, knowing that out of weakness, I will be made strong. Amen.
