Fifty four years ago, I walked the Pennine Way at a time when there was no internet, smart phones nor even a mobile phone.
This year, I repeated the walk with phones, cameras and GoPro. Trying to "think young", I produced a daily vlog of the walk and tried to talk about the differences between then and now together with anecdotes of hill walking as it used to be. I took only 36 photographs in 1967 and I want to try and repeat those photographs this time and take lots more to produce a photo book.
Using our caravan as a base, my wife dropped me off in the morning and collected me in the evening. We booked four sites gradually moved up the country.
Update. I am now home and getting through the backlog as fast as I can. I will re edit the first few when I have finished catching up. Some of the videos are OK but on others, I forgot to record some bits so I am adding stills in where necessary. I am a better still photographer than videographer!
I hope you enjoy them and thanks for watching.
