This video is meant to show one way to add the starter row to the cast on for a provisonal live edge for a brioche knitting pattern.
This is a Continental style of holding the tension yarn while also picking the stitches for both knit and purl. I'm not positive that this is actually considered the combination knitting method, or Russian knitting method, or what, but no yarn is wrapped or twisted when I knit.
I find this to be an extremely simple way to knit, but it can be a little weird following patterns, so I'm sharing how I knit brioche to help anyone who already knits like this or wants to learn.
