Shoreline House blends contemporary architecture with the natural beauty of its rocky waterfront setting. Nestled among granite outcrops, mature oaks, and firs, this modern coastal home captures breathtaking views of the channel while preserving the fragile shoreline habitat. Designed by Splyce Design, the residence transforms a 1960s structure into a harmonious retreat with a compact ground-level addition that respects strict waterfront setback rules.
Large, strategically placed windows blur the boundaries between indoors and outdoors, framing ocean vistas and filling the interiors with changing natural light throughout the day. A dramatic cantilevered wall, elevated roofline, and minimal-impact foundation showcase the home’s sustainable design and sensitivity to the environment.
With its balance of light and dark materials, contrasting volumes, and deep connection to the landscape, Shoreline House is more than just a modernist residence — it’s a masterclass in how architecture can be gentle, conscious, and timeless.
