The second part of Bob’s stories relate to two totally different firing trips over two consecutive days in May 1965. The first being a heavy freight train worked by a BR Standard Class 4MT No. 75079 from Eastleigh to Feltham Yard and the second being a Boat train worked with Rebuilt BB Class No. 34082 '615 Squadron' from Southampton Western Docks to Waterloo.
This was the first Boat train that Bob had worked and like myself, remembering my first Boat train trip, marvelled at the occasion.
Bob was also booked with the same driver on both trips.
